Choctaw Defense manufactures a wide variety of military and commercial fabricated products and has produced thousands of aluminum and steel military shipping and storage containers since 1988. These containers are built of military design and specifications and are used to store and ship items from guided missles to helicopter engines to tents.

Though Choctaw Defense is well known as a premier supplier of military grade containers, this is only a portion of the products we manufacture.  The following highlights just a few of the products manufactured by Choctaw Defense.

ALL-TERRAIN TRAILERS

Today's Medium Tactical Vehicles spend more time off-road than on.  They demand a matching trailer family with the muscle and guts to safely haul water, ammo, gen-sets and more while enduring the off-road pounding that medium tactical vehicles dish out.

The MTVR Cargo Trailer hauls everything from ammo to break-bulk across tough terrain mission profiles. The Cargo Trailer has a removable and stowable headboard and tailgate and cargo protection, making loading and unloading easier and faster.  Strategically placed internal and external cargo tie-downs secure a full range of maximum payload cargo.

The MTVR General Purpose Trailer brings power and light to soldiers in the field.  The MTVR General Purpose Trailer uses a work platform similar to MTVR Cargo and MTVR Water Tank variants, but is modified to transport gen-sets and flood light systems.  A unique fastening arrangement secures gen-sets to trailers using adjustable clamps which slide along the rail system allowing for a balanced load at multiple load configurations.  The MTVR General Purpose Trailer securely transports two gen-sets from an inventory of 14 different tactical, skid-mounted 30/60/100 kW generator configurations.  Placement of the generators allows opening of panel doors for ease of operation and maintenance.

The MTVR Water Trailer keeps its cool under pressure. The MTVR Water Trailer is equipped with a 600-gallon stainless steel water tank with upgrades that include enhanced insulation which keeps portable water cool from ambient temperatures of 125oF to -50oF.  The design of the MTVR Water Trailer allows for quick fill-ups with minimum spillage into canteens or 5-gallon containers, visual ground-level water level indicator and an 18 inch man-way for tank access.

INTEGRATION AND KITTING

Choctaw Defense began production of Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) kits in 2002. BDAR kits are used on the battlefield to make repairs on Army vehicles that have been damaged in battle.  These battlefield repairs allow the vehicle to remain mobile and return to base.

GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

The Improved Army Space Heater (IASH) is a 14,000 BTU multi-fueled space heater. Choctaw Defense has produced over 15,000 of these in the past ten years. IASH is used by US military world wide.

MILITARY CONTAINERS

The Joint Stand-Off Weapon Shipping & Storage Container is a very large extruded aluminum container that incorporates a sophisticated elastomeric mounted cradle system. The container features an external data port that allows for the programming of the Global Positioning System/ Inertial Navigation System (GPS/INS) guided bomb without physically opening the container.

Choctaw Defense is one of two exclusive manufacturers of these containers for Raytheon.

POLLUTION CONTROL EQUIPMENT

Choctaw Defense has had the honor of helping Battelle Memorial Institute prototype and develop a unique pollution control device called INSTREEM that is used to restore the current flow in bodies of water that have become stagnate and no longer able to sustain naturally occurring species of fish and other organisms.  The INSTREEM idea was developed by Battelle over a period of 10 years and units are now deployed from North Carolina to Washington State.
